Living Room: Writing Nook
Edna’s Space
The third and most surprisingly intimate area of the living room is the writing nook, the space between the prow and the south wall. This was always planned as Edna's space, and photos show her there amidst her correspondence and personal photos. In spring and summer, Edna looked out the long, horizontal ground-level window above the writing desk onto a wildflower garden. To reinforce this connection, the window carries an abstracted flower pattern, the only such design in the house. next stop >
