Widely regarded as an icon of the 1925 International Exposition in Paris, this poster by Robert Bonfils was one of several commissioned to celebrate and publicize the important decorative arts and design exhibition. As can be seen here, Bonfils used flat shapes, dynamic lines, and bold coloring to capture the vital simplicity of the objects on display. This poster also served as the official image for the traveling portion of the show, which toured the United States in 1926 and had The Minneapolis Institute of Arts as one of its stops.
