Featuring 100 outstanding works, ranging over the past 600 years, this stellar exhibition celebrates the immediacy of the drawing, exploring its many roles--from study, to recording moments of inspiration, to problem solving, to medium of choice for finished works of art. Drawn entirely from the MIA's collection, it includes drawings executed in a variety of media by European and American artists from Carracci all the way to Ruscha.
Organized by the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.
